Some residents of Agbonchia community, Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State, nabbed two suspected thieves and stripped them naked before parading them.
According to reports, the suspects who drove in a red Toyota Camry were intercepted by youths of Agbonchia led by Comrade Abel Oluka (Kofi) on Wednesday, 24 May, 2023.
Eyewitnesses claimed that the suspects attempted to rob a POS shop along Agbonchia road but the operator raised the alarm, attracting the attention of members of the community.
The suspects were paraded around the community and later handed over to the Police for further investigations.

Public disgrace is a weapon some Nigerians have been using to punish thieves caught in the act.
Last month, two suspected thieves were nabbed and stripped naked for allegedly stealing ram and sheep in Ibadan, Oyo State.
An eyewitness who posted the photos on Facebook said the suspects were caught on Friday, 28 April, 2023.
“Everyday For Thief… nemesis catch up with suspected gang of robbers who attempt to steal ram and sheep in Ibadan,” the post read.
In 2019, angry mob nearly beat a suspected thief to death in Elebele, Ogbia Council Area of Bayelsa State.

The suspect identified as Victor from Emeyal community and his gang members allegedly stole from one Sunday Eze and attacked him with a machete.
Victor was caught and brutally beaten up by angry mob after his gang members managed to escape.
The suspect was placed in a wheelbarrow after he was severely beaten; bleeding profusely before he was later paraded around the community.
