LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Bandits have again raided some villages in Kagarko, Kaduna state, and abducted a pastor and 21 others.
This comes not long after a previous attack on the Emir of Kagarko’s personal house and the abduction of three of his daughters, five grandchildren and six others.
A resident of Kagarko, Ishaka Bala, confirmed the latest incident to journalists on 14 May.

He revealed that gunmen in large numbers raided Kago, Tsauni-Abe, Doguwa and Akoti villages.
Bala added that the bandits invaded some houses, shooting sporadically and whisked away the pastor and 21 others.
He noted, “The bandits, however, did not succeed when they invaded Doguwa village as vigilantes engaged them in a shootout in which a vigilante sustained injuries.”
The spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, DSP Muhammed Jalige, is yet to confirm the incident as he was unavailable at the time of filing this report.
