IBADAN, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde and his wife, have cast their votes in the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in Ibadan today.
The Governor is seeking a re-election under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform and he is also a member of the five aggrieved governors in the party.
He shared photos of his arrival alongside his wife to the polling unit, on Twitter amidst heavy security.
He encouraged our people to go out and exercise their civic responsibility without fear.
He tweeted: “My wife, @iamominini and I have cast our votes in the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in Ibadan today. As promised, security is tight in Oyo State, so I encourage our people to go out and exercise their civic responsibility without fear.”
