President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly committed an anti-election offence by displaying his ballot paper publicly at his polling unit in Daura, Katsina state on Saturday.
The President and his wife Aisha Buhari voted at polling unit 003, Sarkin Yarn A ward.
After voting, the President went ahead to display his ballot paper for everyone to see.
This act has sparked mixed reactions as many are calling for his vote to be rendered void.
A tweep and human rights lawyer, Festus Ogun said: “Buhari committed a crime, here.”
Another tweep, @nne2love said: “He has Festus as his defense attorney.”
“Pls charge him.. I know it should be a secret ballot. He should not be above the law,” @adedeji_ishow pleaded.
@canjfunny weighed in and said: “I can assure you that he made a mistake. He wanted to vote for lp”
