ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Three people have been confirmed dead following an unprecedented outbreak of cholera in a community in Abia State.
The Abia State Government confirmed the disease in Amaogwugwu in Umuahia North Local Government Area on Monday.
Also, many, including an eight-month-old baby are still hospitalized as a result of the disease.
The state Commissioner for health, Dr. Joe Osuji, said that his ministry is monitoring the situation.
He disclosed that it has sent officials and drugs to the community for the affected persons.
