ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark, has endorsed Mr Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), for the 2023 general elections.
The Ijaw leader’s backing is the second high-profile endorsement to be received by the Labour Party presidential hopeful.
He announced his position at a news briefing in Abuja on Tuesday.
Chief Clark based his endorsement of Obi on traits he believes are critical to leading the country.
Explaining further, the elder statesman cited honesty, trust and transparency, saying that Obi displayed all, when he was the Governor of Anambra State.
He appealed to Obi to tackle the issues of the injustices and environmental degradation in the Niger Delta region if elected as President.
