ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Comrade Patrick Oghenerhoro, Senior Special Assistant on Youth Development to the Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, has dumped his boss and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the state.

Oghenerhoro also known as Paleke, said he has enormous confidence in Ovie Omo-Agege as a Deltan who desires the development of the State and wellbeing of her people.

Okowa’s former SSA stressed that he believes in his (Omo-Agege) vision to build a new Delta.

Oghenerrhoro further explained that he has carefully looked at the political credentials of all the candidates eyeing the Delta governorship seat in 2023, only Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has demonstrated capacity and genuine interest towards rebuilding the State.

Paleke, as he is fondly called, said voting for the PDP candidate, Sheriff Oborevwori, is like extending the tenure of Okowa and prolonging the sufferings of Deltans.

According to him, he prefers the general interest of Deltans above his personal monetary gains, hence he has decided to resign his membership of the PDP as well as his appointment as Senior Special Assistant, SSA from the Okowa-led administration.

He assured Deltans that he will work with several others to bring more hands and resources towards rescuing the State and placing it on a progressive lane.

Up till this recent change in sides, Paleke was one of the most trusted political allies of Governor Okowa.

Also, he was former PDP Youth Leader in Ethiope-East and a former member– Board of Trustees – Urhobo Youth Council.
