ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- As the 2023 election continues to gain momentum, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi has paid a visit to the deposed Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.
Obi who shared this information on his Twitter handle, said he spent quality with the former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, (CBN), during the visit.
The former Anambra State Governor described Sanusi as his “dear friend and brother” with whom he had a discussion on national interest.
He wrote: “I met with my dear friend and brother, HRH Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.
“We spent time exchanging views on matters pertaining to national interest, nation-building and broad concept of diversity, education, social inclusion, the economy, consumption and production patterns.”
Obi’s pre-election consultations include him visiting the high and mighty in the country, including past Nigerian Leaders.
He has visited Bishop David Oyedepo, Senior Pastor Living Faith Church, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, among others.
