IBADAN, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Nollywood veteran, Patience Ozokwor, popularly known as Mama Gee, has drummed support for the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi and his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed.
The movie thespian, who showed support for the former Governor of Anambra State, at a political event, sang a song in Igbo which means: “Let’s go, let’s go, where are we going? We are going to Labour Party, where they paint father, mother and child. Everyone should come let’s cast our vote, where things would be better for us. Let’s go.“
She captioned the video on her Instagram page: “Grassroot politics at its best. May it never be said that we failed for lack of trying. Be the change you need.”
Ozokwor is not the only actor in the Nigerian movie industry supporting Obi-Datti.
Her colleague, Kenneth Okonkwo joined Labour Party from the All Progressives Congress in August, 2022.
The actor dumped the ruling party following the selection of Kashim Shettima as the running mate of the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.
Movie thespian, Hilda Dokubo is also a staunch supporter of Peter Obi and Yusuf Datti.
