IBADAN, Nigeria (VOICE Of NAIJA)- Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy, was the musical guest on the recent episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The Afro-fusion star brought his Toni Braxton–sampling Love, Damini track “Last Last” to 30 Rockefeller Center.
‘Love, Damini‘ arrived earlier this year.
The album featured A-listers, including J Balvin, Sheeran, Kehlani, Khalid, Popcaan, and Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
The ‘Ye’ crooner sat down with Jimmy Fallon on Monday night to talk about working with Ed Sheeran and the origin of the name Burna Boy.
Asked about the origin of his stage name, Burna Boy, the singer said he’d wanted to become a hero when he was younger; this made him come up with the name “Burna Boy”.
He also made fun of Fallon’s way of saying “Last Last” and tried to show him how to do his signature moon-walk dance.
The music star later took the stage to perform “Last Last,” a song from “Love, Damini” album.
