LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) –Adekunle Gold and Samklef have found themselves in a fiery exchange on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).

The dispute began when Samklef openly admitted to having feelings for Simi, a fellow singer, but claimed he never pursued a romantic relationship with her to maintain professionalism.

Adding fuel to the fire, Samklef went on to describe Simi and Ric Hassani, another Nigerian artist, as the “most ungrateful” individuals he has ever collaborated with.

This sparked a response from Adekunle Gold, who swiftly defended his wife and demanded that Samklef show her respect.

The exchange escalated as Gold expressed his frustration, emphasizing that Simi owes nothing to Samklef and urging him to stop mentioning her name regularly.

“When will it be your turn to receive sense from your 7th heaven? Because you are clearly lost in your own damn mind. Simi does not owe you shit and it is about time you stopped calling her name every 3 market days. If anything, you owe me! Stop fooling around and act your age!” Gold wrote.

Samklef retaliated by taking a dig at Simi’s success, claiming credit for her achievements.

He wrote, “Dear Adekunle I made your wife Simi. Cry”

In a final blow, Gold called Samklef an “idiot and a fool,” urging him to focus on building his own legacy rather than engaging in immature behavior.

“Congratulations. Now make yourself! idiot. You are pushing 40 and look at what’s left of your legacy; foolishness. Aridin Agba,” he wrote.

As of now, Simi has chosen not to comment on the matter.

This is not the first time Samklef has been involved in a public controversy, as he recently accused Portable, another Nigerian singer, of having a questionable character.
