This announcement was made by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), after the election results were collated. In a series of attacks on villages in Eastern DR Congo, more than 40 people were killed on Friday, local sources have said. The sources are blaming the Cooperative for the development of the Congo militant group. A five-year-old boy, Zibele Liyakhanya Mthi, was killed by two pitbulls on his way home to his mum in South Africa. The five-year-old had stayed the night with his grandmother then set off the following day to return to his home. A court in Morocco has increased the jail sentences of three men convicted of repeatedly raping an 11-year-old girl.
