LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has arrested the Managing director and Chief Executive of Marvelrock Pharmaceuticals and Stores Limited, Orakwe Chibuike Celestine, for allegedly engaging in sales of illicit drugs on e-commerce platform, Jiji.ng. NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, said the suspect, a graduate of Business Administration from the University of Abuja, registered the pharmaceutical company on December 16, 2014 with the certificate and support of a licensed pharmacist, who opted out of the deal in 2017. LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has recovered an additional N1.4 billion for the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS). In a statement on Tuesday, Wilson Uwujaren, EFCC spokesman, said the anti-graft agency transferred the funds to the NHIS on Friday, August 5. “The money which was released to the NHIS on August 5, 2022, is part of the funds which some commercial banks fraudulently refused to transmit to the Treasury Single Account, TSA, since 2015,” Uwujaren said.
