LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Alex Telles is expected to join Cristiano Ronaldo at the Saudi club Al-Nassr. They were teammates at Manchester United.
The left-back, who has been deemed unnecessary by United for a while, will join the lengthy list of players who are making the switch to the Middle East from European clubs this summer for a cheap £4 million ($5.2 million).

Telles was recruited by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the summer of 2020 for £15.4 million ($20 million), and he spent the 2022–23 season on loan at Sevilla.
Before his performance dipped, Telles had established himself as the club’s starting left-back. Following United’s purchase of Tyrell Malacia a year ago, he was loaned away.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the transfer to Al-Nassr is finalized, and Telles will make a healthy £7 million ($9.1 million) every season in Saudi Arabia, where he will renew his friendship with former United striker Ronaldo.
Telles will be introduced as an Al Nassr player when the transfer is formally revealed in the upcoming days. August 11 marks the start of the new Saudi season.
