LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Arsenal have won the MLS All-Star Challenge thanks to USMNT defender Auston Trusty’s breathtaking 40-yard crossbar challenge.
The Gunners engaged in a number of entertaining contests with the MLS All-Stars on Tuesday night in front of a full crowd in Washington, D.C. and they triumphed easily with 121-88, in the first task, which involved shooting.
Kai Havertz scored 86 points for them, and they added a 139-115 victory in the touch challenge to go up 2-0.
The MLS team’s first round victory came in the cross & volley round, where the German performed poorly.

However, Arsenal also prevailed in the fourth round to take a 3-1 lead before the two sides engaged in a crossbar battle.
The Philadelphia Union player was absolutely elated after his performance and said: “It felt great. I told you to take care of business. This is awesome.
“This is really cool environment and really blessed to be here and this was just awesome. Everybody did a good job and this was just amazing.”
When Arsenal play the MLS All-Stars in a friendly match on Wednesday at the Audi Field Stadium in the United States, Trusty will hope to be rewarded with a starting spot.
