ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – The Kano State government has imposed a dawn to dusk curfew in the State over the results of the recently concluded election.
This is to avoid breakdown of law and order following tensions generated from the collation of results of the governorship and state Assembly elections.
This was announced by the state commissioner for information and internal affairs, Malam Muhammad Garba, in a statement issued Monday morning.
Garba said also that the decision was to prevent hoodlums from causing chaos in the already tense situation.
The Commissioner, therefore, called on the people of the State to remain indoors, saying that security agents would not spare anyone or group bent on causing trouble.
