ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, has said he will consult with Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State on solutions to tackle Nigeria’s challenges.
Obi made this known on Monday at Ikeja, the Lagos State capital, during a meeting with the Nigerian Guild of Editors.
Obi, the former Anambra State Governor said: “Soludo knows and he has the solution, so I need to consult him to help me.”
The presidential candidate who fondly referred Soludo as his brother, also promised to adopt the Bangladesh model of 35 per cent Affirmative Action.
He noted further that he would create an atmosphere where 50 per cent of Nigerian women would be included in its National Productivity Programme.
Lately, Soludo, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria; and Obi, have been engaged in altercations on the state of Anambra economy.
Soludo had claimed that the investments Obi left in government are worth close to nothing.
The Anambra Governor also said Obi can’t win the 2023 presidential election as there are “two persons/parties seriously contesting for president”.
Obi however, replied that he did his little as Governor of Anambra and urged Soludo to do his best in the state as an economics professor.
