LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Rangers are prepared to announce Super Eagles’ Cyriel Dessers signing as their sixth summer arrival.

Dessers, 28, has agreed to join the Ibrox club from Cremonese in a move worth approximately £4.5 million, and according to rumours in his native Belgium, he will sign a four-year contract.

In the upcoming days, the Rangers will officially declare the Nigerian international as a player.

Following the completion of the signings of Jack Butland, Kieran Dowell, Sam Lammers, Dujon Sterling, and Abdallah Sima, the 26-year-old will become Rangers’ sixth addition this summer.

Though he has a strong goal-scoring record, the former Genk attacker struggled to make an immediate impact for Cremonese in Serie A last year.

In the 2019–2020 Eredivisie season, while playing for Heracles Almelo, he was awarded the league’s top scorer.

The following year, while on loan at Feyenoord, he was crowned the competition’s top scorer in the UEFA Europa League.
