LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)–All parties involved in the Imo state governorship election petition tribunal have concluded presenting their cases.
This was disclosed by the legal adviser to the Labour Party (LP), Ihejirika Emeka on Thursday, April 11, in Owerri.
He said the election petition, led by LP’s gubernatorial candidate, Senator Athan Achonu against INEC, Senator Hope Uzodimma, and others, has reached the stage where witnesses have been called, and evidence has been tendered to support their claims.

He said: “The next steps involve filing, exchanging, and adopting final written addresses before the tribunal delivers its judgement.
“Imolites and Nigerians are hoping for the best as the judiciary is the last hope of Nigerians and upholders of our laws.
“Senator Athan Achonu and the Labour Party have consistently shown confidence in the judiciary, hoping for a favourable outcome.”
