The trend kicked off with actress Mercy Aigbe, who teased about welcoming a second son, setting the stage for a day of playful deception.
The mother of two posted on her Instagram page:
“Finally I can show you to the world
my prince.To all awaiting mothers and everyone desiring the
fruit of the womb! This year won’t pass you by.”

Aigbe’s post immediately sparked excitement among her fans and colleagues, with many flooding the comment section with congratulatory messages. Little did they know that it was all part of an elaborate April Fools’ Day prank.
Not long after Aigbe’s post, other Nigerian celebrities joined in on the fun.
Media personality, Kiekie joined the fun with a mock pregnancy shoot, humorously hinting at the arrival of a second child.
The actress wrote:

Not to be outdone, Nollywood star Nkechi Blessing also got in on the action, jesting about a second son entering her life with her partner.

However, it was comedian Alibaba who stole the show with his unexpected twist.
The veteran entertainer left jaws dropping as he playfully claimed to have welcomed triplets with his 55-year-old wife, Margaret, surprising fans and followers alike.
The ace comedian wrote:
“Mary and I are happy and overjoyed to welcome our 3 sons, Aaron, Aalexander, and Andrew, into the Akpobome family.
