LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – A first half goal by Ademola Lookman helped the Super Eagles of Nigeria soar over Angola in the Quarterfinals clash of the 2023 African Cup of Nations.
Coach Jose Peseiro reinstated Alex Iwobi, Zaidu Sanusi, and Lookman as he continued to deploy the 3-4-3 formation. The Eagles were the better from the start and laid siege to the Angolan defence.

Moses Simon’s dynamic performance paid off as he pressured Angolan’s defence in the 41st minute, leading to a pass to Ademola Lookman for Nigeria’s only goal.
The goal from Lookman makes it three goals in two matches for the Atlanta man as Nigeria advance to the Semifinals of the African Cup of Nations.
