ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – The news of the amputated leg of Nollywood actor, John Okafor, popularly called Mr Ibu’s leg after undergoing seven surgeries, has left many Nigerians worried.
According to a post on the actor’s Nollywood page on Monday, the comic actor underwent seven successful surgeries, but one of his legs had to be amputated to keep him alive and aid his recovery process.
Following the sad news, people have taken to their to the social media hand to write how they feel.
@Chrisdaramola wrote: “That’s terrible! I can’t imagine the emotional and physical toll that undergoing seven surgeries and amputating his leg took on him and his family. May God Almighty give them the strength needed at this trying point in their lives. 4:38 PM · Nov 6, 2023”.
Responding also, @YouthspireNG noted that “This is so sad to hear and displeasing by all accounts.

@FerdinandObiora, who also commented on the post, wrote: “This is where Ex Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is good.Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi would have completely taken up his medical bills.He did it for Christian Chukwu,highlife music king,Mike Ejeagha and others.Note:Mr Ibu is from same LGA with Gov Peter Mba of Enugu state.”
