LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – A branch of the Church of Pentecost, serving the Ghanaian community in South Africa, has been invaded by armed robbers during a Sunday service.
The incident occurred while a pastor was delivering his sermon, abruptly interrupted by two armed men dressed in dark clothing and large hats obscuring their faces.
In a viral video on the X platform, the robbers brandished guns, instilling fear among the congregants, and proceeded to rob them of their phones and other belongings.
The pastor and the worshippers were left shaken as the thieves fled the church after their act.

According to reports, the incident has sent shockwaves through the Ghanaian community in South Africa and has raised concerns about the safety and security of religious gatherings.
Netizens have taken to the X platform to express dismay over the development.
Commenting, @Ritaogechi11 said, “They should be able to find them with this video. Unless their Police is just like ours. @NDrAgwoTurumbe added, “Why was I expecting the Pastor to suddenly stand up and begin to bind and cast the robbers?.”
Concerned about the development, @official_adags said, “This is really cràzy though, Churches need to start having major securities as well not coz of ur his petty arm robbèrs but other terríble situations.”
Apparently not surprised with the development, @Lilswaggun said, “It is not robbery, it is thier fathers house. @NaijaMushings added, “Not surprising….Pastors are dashing millions to their spouses. When there is no fear of God and church has become business, this is to be expected.”
Giving his opinion on the post, @Dmj7273Raheem commented, “The fact is if the church is a true house of God, armed robbers won’t come close.”
