LAGO, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) Argentina’s Rodrigo De Paul is enjoying some playful banter with Lionel Messi as they reunite for international duty.
Despite their status as reigning world champions following their World Cup victory in Qatar in December, De Paul couldn’t resist a little taunting on social media.
He posted a photo, questioning Messi about the whereabouts of his trophy, with the caption, “Today we train together! Did you miss something Lionel???” on Instagram.

He hasn’t completely ruled out the possibility of participating in the competition to be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Argentina is set to face Paraguay in World Cup qualifying at the Estadio Monumental in Buenos Aires on Thursday, with the world champions then heading to Peru for their second qualifier on October 17.
