LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerians in Leicester, UK and other parts of the world, have taken to the streets to celebrate Nigeria’s Independence Day.
In a post by a popular pastor @deleosunmakinde on the X platform, on Sunday, Nigerians were seen on the streets of Leicester, bearing the Nigerian flag with happy faces.
“We gathered after our service outdoors at the Leicester city centre to sing the national anthem, pray for Nigeria and declare, God bless Nigeria.

“Happy anniversary, Nigeria.
“God bless Nigeria,” the post read.
Nigeria celebrated her 63rd Independence Day celebration on 1 October, 2023.
This year’s Independence Day, Nigeria’s 63rd anniversary as a sovereign nation, is the 11th ‘low-key’ celebration in 13 years.
