ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The military junta in Burkina Faso has claimed that a thwarted conspiracy was aimed at destabilizing the nation and plunging it into turmoil.
Less than a year after military leader Ibrahim Traoré seized power, Burkina Faso faces its second coup attempt since 2022, amidst an ongoing struggle with Islamist insurgency.
Government officials, in a televised statement, confirmed several arrests related to the coup plot but refrained from disclosing specific details about the individuals involved in the attempted overthrow of the junta.
