LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA) – President Bola Tinubu has appointed Jamiu Abiola, the son of late Chief Moshood Abiola (MKO), as Special Assistant on Special Duties.
Tinubu made the appointment ahead of his departure for the United Nations summit in New York.
The appointment was conveyed through a formal letter addressed to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
Abiola, a distinguished alumnus of New York University in the United States, has been assigned by the president to work within the office of Vice President Kassim Shetimma.

“I am pleased to inform you that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has approved your appointment as Special Assistant to the President on Special Duties (Office of the Vice-President),” the letter read.
Jamiu Abiola, who is a polyglot, also holds postgraduate certificates from New York University with a specialization in translating Arabic, French, Spanish, and German languages into English.
He has been freelancing for the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) since 2015, translating documents from French to English and crafting reports during conferences and council sessions.
