Manchester United have officially announced the postponement of Antony’s highly anticipated return to the club. This decision comes in the wake of serious assault allegations levelled against the player by his former partner.
Antony’s ex-girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin, has claimed the footballer assaulted her on four occasions.
Two more women in Brazil, Rayssa de Freitas and Ingrid Lana, also accused the 23-year-old of physical abuse.
Antony appeared on Brazilian television to deny the allegations, claiming he holds evidence of his innocence.
Antony was dropped by Brazil for their World Cup qualifier against Bolivia, and United have also towed the same line.
