2023 Election: Court Begins Sitting As Presidential Tribunal Delivers Judgement

Court Begins Sitting As Presidential Tribunal Delivers Judgement

Millions of Nigerians are waiting eagerly to witness the televised live proceedings from the Tribunal venue at the Court of Appeal in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

The Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT) is set to deliver judgement on Wednesday. Security is already beefed up ahead of the verdict.

Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) are challenging President Bola Tinubu’s declaration as the winner of the 2023 presidential election.

At 09:03 am, the Vice President Kashim Shettima and other Governors had arrived the premises. Shortly after, the Judges arrived the court.

The names of the Justices who will be presiding over the various petitions: the Chief Registrar of the Court of Appeal, Haruna Tsammani and Justice Stephen Adah of the Court of Appeal Asaba division.

Others include Justice Misitura Bolaji-Yusuf, Court of Appeal also of Asaba Division; Justice Boloukuoromo Ugoh of Kano Division and Justice Abba Mohammed of Ibadan Court of Appeal.

At 09:28 am, the court has already started sitting ahead of the verdict.
