LAGOS, NIGERIA (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Former Big Brother Naija All-Stars housemate, Ike Onyema, has confirmed that he and Mercy Eke, his ex-lover, will not be rekindling their relationship.

Mercy and Ike, who were once lovers during their time on the 2019 edition of BBNaija, have faced a turbulent journey in their relationship. Unfortunately, their romantic bond came to an end at the conclusion of the show.

Fate brought Mercy and Ike together once again in this year’s All-Stars edition of BBNaija. However, their reunion was destined to be short-lived with Ike’s recent eviction.

During a recent chat with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Ike expressed his firm stance on moving forward and ruled out any possibility of rekindling his relationship with Mercy Eke.

“Me and her have a complicated history but definitely it was one of the best times of my life so I had no regrets. But at the same time I did not want my fans to come and be like let’s support his ex-friend,” he said.

“No, I let them know say na me this time. Mercy has a great heart and she is a good person but I do not know how much she dey look out for other people.

“She is a beautiful woman and as much I would think maybe there is something there, one thing I learned is that you never really gain much by going back, you always gotta move forward.”
