LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) Tottenham’s chairman Daniel Levy reportedly found amusement in the discussions with Bayern Munich about Harry Kane’s transfer, as per Steffen Freund’s account.
The ex-Spurs and Borussia Dortmund midfielder asserts that Levy was entertained by Bayern’s honorary president Uli Hoeness publicly expressing his belief that the German club could secure Kane’s departure from the North London side.
Despite three prior unsuccessful bids, Bayern eventually paid €100 million (£85 million or $108 million) for Kane, who had only a year left on his contract. Freund suggests that Levy emerged as the victor in this saga.

Freund shared with ran.de, “Levy laughed himself to death at the interview by Uli Hoeness. It didn’t seem to bother him much. I’m confident he ultimately achieved the outcome he desired, and Bayern had to give in.”
German football legend Lothar Matthaus has asserted that Bayern was “forced” into paying such a substantial fee for Kane, who marked his Bundesliga debut with a goal against Werder Bremen.
As Bayern prepares to face Augsburg on Sunday, Kane is anticipated to lead the forward line for Thomas Tuchel’s team once again.
