LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) has joined hundreds of Nigerians to protest against the fuel subsidy removal by the President Bola Tinubu administration.
The presidential candidate who was sighted at the protest venue, addressed Nigerians who trooped out en masse to express their displeasure over the high cost of living arising from the removal of fuel subsidy by the President.
Sowore, known among Nigerian youths to always speak up against the oppression by Nigerian politicians, moved around with the protesters who sang solidarity songs as they marched around to express their grievances.
Recall that the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) insisted on going ahead with the nationwide protests despite President Tinubu’s initial broadcast addressing issues arising from the fuel subsidy removal.
The Federal Government representatives had met with the NLC leadership on Tuesday with the hope of putting an end to the intending strike, but they could not reach an agreement.
As things stand, the NLC will continue with its daily march across every part of the country until the Federal Government is able to hold a truce with them.
