LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has asked for serenity as he attempts to find the ideal balance with the Gunners’ revamped midfield.
Summer enlistments On Saturday night, Declan Rice and Kai Havertz participated in Arsenal’s 2-0 loss to Manchester United alongside team captain Martin Odegaard. The setback provoked a lot of discussion about the Gunners’ midfield.
In spite of the outcome, Arteta was pleased with his team’s effort. However, he felt that the loss to their Premier League opponents demonstrated that, despite selling Granit Xhaka to Bayer Leverkusen earlier this summer, Arsenal still has a lot of work to do before the new campaign begins.
Arteta reiterated his plea for patience, stating it will take time for his team to find the proper balance in midfield as he spoke ahead of his team’s match against Barcelona in LA on Thursday morning.

He said: “We have to find the right balance but a year ago Granit (Xhaka) could never play as an attacking midfielder.
“It’s the first time (against Man Utd) we played with four players inside and three of them had never played together, ever.
“Day by day, keep doing the right things and give people the opportunity to settle in and we will be fine.”
