ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), led by Chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu, is currently in a meeting with accredited local election observer groups and civil society organizations (CSOs) at its headquarters in Abuja.
This marks the first public gathering where the electoral body engages with members of CSOs and local election observer groups following the conclusion of the 2023 general elections.
The primary objective of this meeting is to conduct a comprehensive review of the 2023 general elections in collaboration with the CSOs and observer groups.
Additionally, discussions will be centred on the preparations for the upcoming off-season governorship elections in Imo, Kogi, and Bayelsa States.
Over the past two weeks, INEC has been actively engaging with critical stakeholders who played various roles in ensuring the successful conduct of the 2023 general elections.
