LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- An 18-year-old man, Abubakar Ahmed, has been remanded at the Kirikiri Custodial Centre, Lagos State, for allegedly killing his 13-year-old friend, with a knife in the Ijora-Badia area of the State.

The defendant was brought before Magistrate Patrick Nwaka at Yaba Magistrates’ Court facing a one-count of murder.

According to the Prosecutor, Thomas Nurudeen, the defendant committed the offence on 28 May, 2023.

Nurudeen told the court that the defendant used a knife to stab the deceased in his chest, an offence that contravened Section 222 and was punishable under Section 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
