Nigerians on social media have slammed stand-up comedian Akpororo, for taking a swipe at Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, who is currently in court over the 2023 presidential election results.
During a recent gig, Akpororo asked his listeners if Obi was still in court. After they affirmed that the court case is still ongoing, he interjected by saying “Obi will be in court for 8 years”.
This didn’t sit well with some supporters who have called him out for using Peter Obi to “resurrect his dead career”.
A netizen said: “No wonder the joke you came to crack in Jos city was a mediocre! You wan use PO resurrect ur dead career. E no shake u say nobody turned up for ur jokes in Jos? Am sure u didnt even recover ur flight money.”
