ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – A Labour Party legislator-elect, Amobi Ogah, has said that elected federal lawmakers are ready to work with President Bola Tinubu’s government.
Ogah, who was elected to represent the Isuikwuato-Umunneochi federal constituency of Abia in the 10th assembly, praised President Bola Tinubu, saying that he is intelligent and prepared to lead the country.
The elected LP lawmaker disclosed this during an interview with Channels Television after members-elect of the national assembly met with Tinubu at the presidential villa on Thursday.
He said: “Today is my best day. Today, I’m so happy that I’m an elected member seeing my president (Mr Tinubu) talking. In fact, I’ve never known that this man is so intelligent.

“I never knew that this man is so prepared to serve this country. I saw the love, character, and charisma — the belief that Nigeria can be a better nation.”
Meanwhile, the Labour Party presidential candidate in the 25 February presidential poll, Peter Obi, is contesting the legitimacy of Tinubu’s victory at the tribunal.
Obi, a former Anambra State Governor, has not congratulated Tinubu, and he alleging that the newly sworn-in President rigged the election.
However, Ogah insisted that his loyalty to Nigeria is above his political party’s, vowing to support President Tinubu.
“We have agreed that we are going towards government decision not minding I am of Labour Party. Now the party is not the issue. We are talking about building Nigeria. We are talking about the unity of Nigeria,” he said.
