ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma has been unanimously elected as the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors Forum.
He was elected at a meeting that had all the APC Governors who are members of the Forum in attendance on Wednesday in Abuja.
It was learnt that the position was meant to appease the South-East, which the party denied Senate president and speakership positions.
It would be recalled that President Bola Tinubu had endorsed Senator Godswill Akpabio for Senate president and Tajudeen Abbas for House of Representatives Speakership positions.
The choice of Uzodinma for the position of Chairman of the APC Governors forum was a source of gladness to the ruling Party’s States chief executives, who attested to his capacity to lead other Governors in ways that would be a delight to all.
