LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-Lebron James recently shared an Instagram story in which he paraphrased the song “What More Can I Say” by the late rapper Jay Z, fueling rumors that he is thinking about retiring.
The Denver Nuggets swept the Lakers and James last week in a 4-0 series to end their chances of making the playoffs.
We’ll see what happens moving ahead, he said to reporters after the game. I’m unsure. I’m unsure. To be really honest, I have a lot on my mind. Just for me moving on with the sport of basketball.
I’m meant to be #1 on everyone’s list, James’ Monday post said. We’ll see what happens as I fade away.
Several publications and other NBA sources have stated that the retirement discussion should not be taken seriously, despite the fact that James appeared to throw fuel to the fire in terms of his retirement rumors.

The 38-year-old small forward’s propensity for “controlling the narrative” led one Western Conference executive to accuse James of manipulating the retirement speculation to divert attention from the Lakers’ rout.
‘He’ll suit up next year,’ the executive said, according to Bleacher Report last week. ‘He just changed the conversation.
“Now we’re not talking about a sweep; we’re talking about LeBron and retirement. He loves to control the narrative.’
‘Give it a week,‘ another executive said. ‘Let’s see if he’s saying the same thing.’
Additionally, James has been charged with attempting to exert pressure on the Laker front staff by attempting to sign another star player to the roster this summer by utilizing the retirement talks as a bargaining chip
