LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-Flying Eagles head coach Ladan Bosso has stated that his team respects them but does not fear them as the Young Azurri of Italy will face the Flying Eagles on Wednesday in a matchup for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Nigeria and Italy both had successful opening matches in the competition, with the Flying Eagles defeating the Dominican Republic’s debutants 2-1 and Italy defeating Brazil 3-2.

Bosso claimed his players would prefer to combat the young Azzurris rather than be engrossed in admiring the Italians’ maneuvers When the two teams face off against each other on Wednesday at the same location.

“We stayed back after our match against the Dominican Republic to watch the Italy match against Brazil, and we took a lot of notes from there. The Italians have the midfield machinery to outrun any team that is flustered by their pace and organization, but we will know how to deal with that.

“We have the boys who can neutralize their mortal armoury and deliver some blows of our own. Wednesday’s encounter will be interesting. We will respect them but we don’t fear any team at this championship.”

The match scheduled for Mendoza’s Estadio Malvinas Argentina will begin at 7 p.m. Nigerian time.
