ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday strongly condemned the gruesome killing of Chief Oyibo Chukwu, the Labour Party (LP) senatorial candidate for Enugu State East Senatorial District.
President Buhari expressed his disappointment in a statement by his spokesman, Femi Adesina.
He believes that the perpetrators of this ignoble act have no respect for human life and dignity.
According to him, the culprits deserve the wrath of divine and natural justice.
Also, the President directed security agencies to “track down the culprits of this heinous crime.”
He further sympathized with the families of the victims, the Labour Party and the Nigerian Bar Association, (NBA).
Voiceofnaija.ng had reported that Chukwu was killed and set ablaze alongside other party members on Wednesday at Amaechi Awkunanaw, Enugu.
