Marvin Gaye III, the son of Motown icon Marvin Gaye, is under investigation after he allegedly pointed a gun at his cousin.
According to TMZ, he left the scene in a Corvette before the police could arrive and apprehend him.
The incident occurred in Gaye’s home in Los Angeles.
TMZ reports that according to law enforcement officials, a call was made to the sheriff’s office sometime around 8:05 PM local time regarding some “family dispute” at Gaye’s home in Calabasas.
Gaye was in his house in Los Angeles when the dispute occurred between him, his wife, and his cousin.
However, the name of the cousin whom he had threatened with a gun has not been revealed yet.
By the time the police could reach the scene, the 57-year-old had already escaped the scene.
It has also been reported that it is unsure if anyone was injured during the time of the incident. No arrests have been made and the investigation is currently ongoing.
Marvin Gaye himself had died from an accidental firing by his own father, Marvin Gaye Sr.
Marvin Gaye III has had renal issues in the past, and a Cincinnati man by the name of Rick Greene donated him a kidney after listening to his plea for help on television.
Marvin Gaye III is the son of legendary singer Marvin Gaye and Anna Gordy.
He was born on 17 November, 1965, by Denis Gordy, Anna’s niece. Denis was only 16 when Marvin Gaye III was born.
She had agreed to conceive him because of her aunt’s health issues.
