Nollywood actress and movie producer, Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi has revealed the presidential candidate she will vote for in the forthcoming election.
She said she is likely to vote for Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The actress revealed this on Friday, in an interview on ‘Your View’, a television talk show on TVC.
The filmmaker said that although she has not formally announced her choice of candidate, she added, “I’ll vote for Tinubu because I love him.”
Toyin also said that the APC presidential candidate “has been a wonderful man to my people.”
“I love Asiwaju and I’m speaking about myself. I love him. And I’ll vote for him because I love him. Although I’ve not decided, I’m just telling you. And because of the things he has done for my industry,” she said.
“I’m not gonna use my own interest to lead others. He has been a wonderful man to my people. He has been there for people even when they had nothing. I am speaking for my own Oluwatoyin Abosede Dada Abraham Ajeyemi.
“Let people choose whoever they want to choose. I will not let people use the gender part of me. I will support anyone who supports everybody. Someone competent.
“I’m not going to jeopardise the future of our children because of gender part or because I have a colleague there.”
The movie star also reacted to the viral video of Nigerian skit maker, Sydney Talker, hugging her tightly.
She said, “This guy is a comedian. He is like a son to me. I am not a child. Everybody thinks so because I look young. He was hugging me and it was my manager that was videoing him and the next thing I saw was people calling me ‘dirty woman’, “whore”, she’s a married woman”
Speaking on her recently released film ‘Ijakumo,’ the award-winning actress said the storyline originated from “my dream.
“I saw it in my dreams. I realised that a lot of dreams are relatable. It’s no true life event but I know it’s relatable. I know this is happening. But you know there is a difference between dreams and reality. There are things you’ll add and remove,” she said.
