IBADAN, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Nigerian singer, Mohbad has confirmed the death of his colleague, Oniyide Azeez aka Dablixx Osha.
The news of Dablixx’s death hit social media and people refused to believe as some claimed they had seen a post from him hours before.
Taking to his Instagram story on Tuesday, Mohbad shared the photo of the rapper and tagged it with a heartbreak emoji.
Despite the former Marlian signee’s confirmation, many people still had their doubts and told bloggers to stop spreading fake news.
A netizen, @haryor_26 said: “False news.. but I will not be surprised tho cause dablixx have been in depression since, no artist helped him “
@queenlizzy455 also said: “Pls stop spreading fake news I love him so much , u hv never posted him before not even his.”
@chilling3443, while reacting, tweeted: “Not here to judge anyone because me sef no be saint, but our musicians should take it easy on drugs..most are doing drugs and not eating well” while @iamtehga reacted to the news and said: “I don’t believe dis he’s tryna fake it.”
According to @oklarhomer_hckn_, who was in denial, there was no way the artiste could have died, seeing that he had just seen his post.
He wrote: “Person way I just view ehn post last night,bloggers Ema pa mi naw.”
Also, @jayden_vickyy wrote: “Everybody just dey die.God will protect us ijn.”
Another netizen, @meee_huncho compared Dablixx “publicity stunt” to that of colleague, Skibii.
He said: “I could remember skiibii fake his death, hope it’s not what I’m thinking” just as @dabrain001 who found the news unbelievable, wrote: “So marle don go like dat “
Born in Lagos on 27 August, 1995, Oniyide Azeez, better known as Dablixx Osha or Osha Marleba, was a 26-year-old Nigerian rapper and songwriter who specializes in trap music.
On social media, the rapper and trap artist was highly recognized for his freestyles.
These have helped him build a strong Instagram presence and increase the number of fans and followers he had.
He released trap music and freestyles in both Yoruba and English.
His rap tracks addressed contemporary topics including betrayal, street smarts, trust, grief, and others.
He was a success at WJS Records, and according to him, his tattoos contributed to his “rap life.”
Due to his memorable lines, Dablixx Osha, who was contracted to MMG Records, continued to win fans until his death.
