KWARA, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Popular Nigerian investigative Journalist, David Hundeyin, has asserted that new Twitter CEO, Elon Musk, is “smarter than Jesus Christ”.
The journalist, who made this statement via his verified Twitter account, noted that the world’s richest billionaire always knows what he is doing.
This pointer was a response to a tweet by a US-based Journalist, Helen Kennedy, revealing that new Twitter updates show that anybody can now ‘buy’ Twitter verification for as low as $8 (about N6000)/month.
The Journalist explained that this new development will make it difficult for tweeps to know if those with the blue tick are trying to fool others or not.
“It’s here. RIP twitter verification. According to the description in Twitter’s new update, anyone can now have a checkmark if they pay $8. So as of today, it no longer means the user is who they say they are.
“You can no longer be sure if someone is real or trying to fool you,” the former NY Daily News staff tweeted via a verified handle @HelenKennedy.
And in a quoted response to this tweet, Nigeria’s Hundeyin wrote: “Elon Musk is smarter than Jesus Christ and he always knows what he is doing and he has a 6 pack and he speaks 250 languages and he is our Lord and eternal saviour and I wish he was my daddy.”
In a subsequent tweet to explain what he meant by his initial tweet, Hundeyin explained that his tweet elevating Musk’s smartness above that of Jesus Christ was mere sarcasm and not what it read.
“Nigerians in the CS failing to catch the most obvious bit of sarcasm ever written in the history of the internet,” he tweeted.
For context, Christians all over the world are believed to be followers of Jesus Christ and are expected to behave and act like him.
And whether or not Christian faithful see the second tweet where he subtly explained that his tweet was sarcastic, the multi-award winning investigative Journalist is sure to come under a series of attacks by social media commentators of the Christian divide.
