Takeoff, one of the three members of the popular rap group Migos, has been killed.
According to reports, the American rapper was shot and killed over a dice game in Houston. He was 28.
“A person was fatally shot on 1200 Polk Street in Downtown Houston, Texas in the United States.
“Multiple Houston promoters are claiming they allegedly saw Takeoff get shot and killed at an event,” a post by SayCheese on Twitter read.
“RIP Takeoff,” they continued. “A close source confirmed to us it was over a dice game in Houston.”
Another person on social media responded by posting SMS screenshots of the full story.
“So quavo was shooting dice and eh was getting his pockets broke off bad so dude had an attitude and he tried getting aggressive with the wrong mob ties (not going to drop names) and dude got his * then somebody they was with jumped up and that’s when everybody bunched up then shots started ringing but they were coming from somebody Migos was with but he was shooting wild and hit takeoff on accident and the other ** start shooting back and i think he got hit again but ultimately his own *** killed him cause when he got hit the first time I seen his body drop,” reads the text massage by a blocked out 512 number, the area code of Austin, Texas.
“Quavo was plexxed up over some small s** it really wasn’t worth it. Takeoff was the coolest quietest ** in the room the whole time,” the text continues.
“He wasn’t saying a word just chillin in the cut he didn’t even know what was going on he just jumped up and got shot out of nowhere. Houston for sho about to be a no fly zone cause Mob supposed to be protecting these artist.”
The person then shared a photo of the incident, from ‘moments before’.
“A video has also been released, which we warn is graphic in nature. Exclusive Footage of a lifeless “Takeoff” laying dead flat on the ground. Quavo on red as very visible.

Kirshnik Khari Ball also known as Takeoff, is an American rapper.
He is best known as a member of the hip hop trio Migos along with his uncle Quavo and first cousin Offset.
Ball was born in Lawrenceville, which is in Gwinnett County of Georgia, U.S.
He was raised in Lawrenceville, Georgia, U.S.. by his mother, along with family members Quavo and Offset.
Along with fellow family members Quavo and Offset, Takeoff began rapping in 2008. The group initially performed under the stage name Polo Club, but eventually changed their name to Migos.
The group released their first full-length project, a mixtape titled Juug Season, on August 25, 2011.
They followed with the mixtape No Label, on June 1, 2012.
Migos initially rose to prominence after the release of their single “Versace”, in 2013.
The song was remixed by Canadian rapper Drake and peaked at number 99 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and number 31 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
Their debut studio album, Yung Rich Nation, was released in July 2015, and featured guest appearances from Chris Brown and Young Thug, and production from Zaytoven and Murda Beatz.The album peaked at number 17 on the Billboard 200.
Migos achieved their first number one single in 2016 with “Bad and Boujee” featuring Lil Uzi Vert, peaking on the Billboard Hot 100 during the week of January 21, 2017.
The song has gone on to be certified four times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
