ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for Enugu West Senatorial Zone, Professor Nick Ezeh, has promised an inclusiveness template.
He promised to ensure even distribution of infrastructural development, attract beneficial appointments and employment for the teeming citizens of the district.
The Russia-trained Professor of Political Economics and International Relations, stated this in Enugu on Tuesday while unveiling his manifesto to journalists.
The Ozegu-Enugu Inyi born political tactician said that Enugu West Senatorial District, is the least developed in the country.
He added that he would rely on his knowledge and wealth of experience to reverse the pitiable state of affairs in the area.
Ezeh said that he had toured every part of the district, interacted an listened to the concerns and yearnings of his constituents before stepping forward for the position.
The senatorial hopeful also said that he had a social contract with his district “to restore the dignity of his people through effective and efficient, goal-based and result-oriented representation”.
He promised to generate cogent statistics, rebuild social cohesion, focus on critical and social infrastructure development, develop skills and capacity and attract industrialisation, if elected.
Prof. Ezeh further expressed disappointment that a few federal institutions in the zone were in dilapidated conditions, promising to turn around the area if elected.
He said: “One of my major focus will be to pursue human capital development, which I believe is the greatest need of our people.
“I intend to engage in these issues personally and in concert with the relevant institutions and intervention agencies.”
The politician said that he would exploit the “time-tested wealth distribution apprenticeship system” to develop a 15-year plan of creating new millionaires amongst his constituents.
“I intend to tap into my passion for knowledge and knowledge-sharing instinct to run a periodic career counselling and leadership mentorship workshops to shape the minds of our youth for positive and focused engagement,” he said.
He urged the constituents to give APC a chance by voting massively for him to help him to bring fresh ideas that would move the zone forward.
