IBADAN, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Popular Lagos auto dealer, Ikechukwu Ogbonna a.k.a IVD, has spoken up for the first time about his ordeal following his wife, Bimbo’s tragic demise on Saturday, 15 October, 2022.

IVD’s wife, Bimbo Ogbonna died some hours ago after suffering from severe burns as a result of a violent fight she had with her husband about his promiscuity and alleged HIV status.

Announcing her demise, her sister called out IVD for killing his wife.

“Bimbo is gone. Bimbo is gone- My sister is gone. The fire is burning me Haaaaaaa. IVD you killed my only sister. Abimbola IVD killed my sister, IVD killed my sister, IVD killed my sister”, she had posted on Saturday morning.

Bimbo is gone. Bimbo is gone- My sister is gone. The fire is burning me Haaaaaaa. IVD you killed my only sister. Abimbola IVD killed my sister, IVD killed my sister, IVD killed my sister”.

According to reports, on Wednesday evening, Bimbo had set herself ablaze after being beaten by her husband at their Megamound residence, Lekki, Lagos.

It was reported that she had been enduring domestic violence for the 22 years of their marriage.

Sources claimed Bimbo confronted her husband IVD on Wednesday, 12 October, 2022, over the constant beatings she receives, and a fight ensued.

According to their neighbours, they heard Bimbo’s screams during the fight.

The fight resulted in their house being set ablaze.

IVD was said to have escaped with minor burns, but Bimbo suffered severe burns and was rushed to the intensive care unit last night.

A viral video shows her groaning in pain as she was rushed to the hospital.

She was rejected by multiple hospitals before one accepted to treat her.

In an Instagram post released by him on the same day his wife died, IVD revealed he will be hurt if his wife receives praises from guests at her funeral.

He also shared never-before-released videos of what transpired between them on Wednesday, 12 October.

In the videos, IVD revealed they had an argument the previous day and he returned from work to meet his house scattered.

He could be seen showing part of the houses that were damaged and incinerated by his wife.

Bimbo could also be heard in the background hurling unprintable names like, “You’re a small man, you carry a§hawo come house, rit¥alist, HIV positive……..” at him.

IVD revealed that his wife had been damaging their house items for the past two weeks over an undisclosed issue.

He highlighted that her brother and their son were key witnesses to what transpired in their Lekki home in Lagos.

The businessman ended the clip by showing himself bleeding profusely from his face while saying he’d put an end to the marriage.
