Obi later joined the Labour party where he was given the presidential ticket for the 2023 presidential election.
Speaking in respect of his previous Facebook post, Olisa Metuh slammed those criticizing him for not understanding the time Obi joined the LP.
Metuh said the people criticizing him failed to understand that it was already too late for Peter Obi when he joined the Labour Party, to enable him enjoy the spread of National assembly members if he eventually wins.
According to him: “Most importantly, they seem not to understand that Peter Obi joined Labour Party too late in the day to have a major spread/majority in the national assembly if and/or when he wins. I cannot therefore understand the condemnation and mob Lynching.”
