IBADAN, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – The presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi has been conferred with a honorary citizenship in Dallas.
The former Governor of Anambra State met with the Mayor of Dallas and his team in Texas, United States.
While sharing the news on his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday, 5 October, 2022, the presidential aspirant shared photos from the event alongside this caption:
“Today in Dallas Texas United States, I met with the Mayor of Dallas and his team. I had the privilege of being conferred with the honorary citizenship of Dallas. I also met with a select group of Texas Judges.-PO”
Peter Obi’s tweet has since garnered reactions.
A tweep, Mr Gbenga.eth said: “Sir, no be Nigerians in diaspora you want to rule, na Naija you wan rule.
“That said, we the real Nigerians have rejected you b’cos of your abysmal performances as a governor. You aren’t a Messiah and you can’t be one..
“I prefer an old man that has track records and has built great men all over the country to be president than a china business man that has impacted zero life in our country to be President….
Vickidan replied Mr Gbenga.eth, saying: “And I believe that by “built great men all over the country”, you’re referring to the countless numbers of ‘agbero’ scattered all over the place, constituting nuisance. Who knows if you’re one of them, cos only then would you think like that.”
According to Engr.Abdoul: “Reasonable politicians seeking presidential seat are here in the country making grassroots mobilization while you’re abroad boasting about an honorary citizenship. Oga ur mumu never do?”
